"How can you make such a gory tale into a fun musical?" I hear you ask. Well, believe it or not, Pember and De Marne have done just that. The show is set in and around a Victorian music hall and the surrounding east-end docklands of London and provides more than a small amount of cockney humour as well as some great musical numbers. Yes, the subject matter is somewhat bloodthirsty but this is all done IN THE NICEST POSSIBLE WAY as someone once said!
The cast are certainly having a great time rehearsing with loads of fun and laughter and I'm sure that when the audiences come along they will have a terrific night's entertainment. So please spread the word and encourage others to come and see the show. Better known shows sell themselves but this is one lesser known show not to be missed ...and remember... The Ripper's Going to Get You if you Don't Watch Out ! .......................Hope to see you there.
