2008 Sustainable Energy Fair in Ayr

Thursday, 21 August 2008

This year's annual Sustainable Energy Fair will be held on Saturday 27th September 2008 at the Scottish Agricultural College, Auchincruive, just outside Ayr.

The Fair is designed to provide information on a wide range of topics that benefit householders, communities and businesses.

As well as renewables and energy efficiency, the event will include waste management, transport and sustainable house design. There will be a large number of information stands, demonstrations, a variety of presentations throughout the day, on-site catering and free parking. A biofuel shuttle bus, provided by Stagecoach, will also be available to transport people to and from Ayr town centre free of charge.

Arran Woodfuels will not be present, but we hope any Arran residents, who are interested in biomass renewable energy, go along to find out more what can be achieved by adopting wood biomass as your main source of heating fuel on Arran.
